Bluett.com Update Finally Live

I have finally managed to set up the database and webserver so that bluett.com can have news, forums and comments.  Other improvements should come later.  I am sending the site "live", making it visible to visitors.

Blewetts in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset etc

Hi people. I am not a Blewett but i have done an amount of research on the family, particularly with respect to their Wiltshire estateses, noteably Lackham and Hilperton, near Chippenham. I have also been investigating the "home page" for the Blewetts in the twelfth - fourteenth centuries, Silchester in Hampshire (the east end of the Roman City site for those who know it; mind the lanes they are a bit narrow!) Anyway, I might be able to help if you are looking at early Bluets (sorry, its how the Wiltshire ones are recorded) and if you are researching them you will almost certainly have info I don't know about!. Did you know one of the early Bluet's was married to one of Edward II's (hmm Michael I know you do!! and p'm doing this from memory so please correct me if it was III) mistresses, Nest or Nesta. There are some interesting Bluet threads in mediaeal genealogy soc I'll try to get the URL and post it.! Please do get in touch if your ancestors trace to Hampshire and Wilthsire early and Somerset up to about the 16th century, I may have some info.... Cheers Tony

Thanks for the comments

Thanks for the comments Tony and Beverly, you can also post in the forums. The advantage there is that your message titles will appear on the front page, rather than being associated with a specific news item.
